The adult day health center in Kent is putting on day of ocean-themed activities. Our clients are older adults and seniors who are living with dementia, disabilities, cognitive impairment, and chronic illnesses. During the day, clients typically receive nursing care, occupational therapy, a hot meal, and share in community with one another, building friendships.
Volunteers will assist us with putting on this big event. We will have stations set up around the center, with different activities. Clients will rotate between groups on a schedule. Staff will be working alongside volunteers for maximum success. Activities that volunteers can help with will include:
- Scuba Relay
- Foam Hunt
- Sword Fish Throwing
- Coral Cards
- Face Paint
- Fun Fishing
Full Life Care provides social and health services to older adults with chronic or terminal illnesses and adults with disabilities. Our mission is to help our clients continue to remain in the community rather than living in isolation or needing to resort to institutional care. We provide nursing and therapy, as well as fun and therapeutic activities in addition to a hot lunch. Full Life Care adult day health programs provide respite for caregivers, while encouraging independence, well being, and social interaction in participants. We help participants maintain an independent and dignified lifestyle by enhancing their physical, social and cognitive functioning.
