Vision House is a Christian, faith-based organization with locations in Renton and Shoreline, WA. Since 1990, Vision House has provided transitional housing, support services and childcare for families experiencing homelessness.
All parents in Vision House's family program attend weekly, mandatory life skills classes. While in these classes, volunteers help provide childcare, spending time with resident children - playing games, reading books, doing crafts that have been prepared by Vision House staff.
As a Christian organization, Vision House does not require program participants to take part in any spiritual activities. We do ask volunteers working in direct contact with residents to sign our statement of faith.
Volunteers must also fill out all necessary paperwork, background checks and attend training/orientation. CPR/First aid training is a plus. The minimum age for this opportunity is 18 years.
