It's that exciting time of year — we are gearing up for our Fall Benefit: Notions of Home, which will be held on Friday evening, October 13th. This is our major fundraiser where we invite our community and donors to a catered dinner and auction off stellar photographs by local and international artists, in support of (Photographic Center Northwest) PCNW. This event helps us to raise thousands of dollars - 25% of our annual operating budget to support creation, conversations, and experiences of significant photography.
I'm seeking a volunteer team of 20+ people to help us pull off this important event. There are numerous roles in which you can lend a hand including: set up, art hanging, art handlers, bid spotters, bid recorders, catering - food plating / serving, art wrapping, coat check and clean up. We assign volunteers several roles as the day & night unfolds and we will train you how to best assist us. We hope you will join us for this exciting night as it truly is one of the most energetic and fun events of the year, as many of you know already.
“Notions of Home” speaks to the complex realities of what home means for each individual, within our city, and in America today. In marking 20 years at our current location, and serving as the home for photography in this region, we look to photography to do what it does best: engage, reveal, provoke, and elucidate various viewpoints on this topic.
We are truly grateful for your support and commitment to the arts. I hope you can join our team for the Fall Benefit 2017.
