Our volunteers work throughout the day to provide meals to numerous agencies supporting men and women in finding housing, emergency shelter and working towards a better future. Volunteer involvement includes, but is not limited to: Cooking hot meals, serving insecure communities, supporting OSL staff in processing donations, dishes, inventory, cleaning, organization of storage spaces, and detailing vehicles.

Inclement Weather Plan: The final hour of this shift will be outdoors, but in a covered area. For this shift volunteers will be commuting, either by foot with our staff or in their own personal vehicle to Seattle's Outdoor Meal Site at 12:45 to serve lunch to the general public. Seattle's OMS is located about ten blocks from our main kitchen and is generally cooler than average. A sweater or jacket may be appropriate depending on the season. | |
