Description

Did you know that in the heart of the industrial setting of Tukwila lies a cultural landscape significant in Puget Sound Salish traditional stories?! And that this place is open and free to the public to explore? The Duwamish Hill Preserve encompasses a beautiful area, but it needs your help to stay that way. Join the Friends of the Hill at our monthly work party to help contribute to the restoration of this area. All ages and abilities are welcome and no experience is necessary!

What to bring: Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes (rubber boots, hiking/tennis shoes), long sleeves, long pants, warm layers, and bring a rain jacket. We’ll have tools and gloves for you to use! Help reduce waste by bringing your own refillable water bottle if you have one.

All ages are welcome, but we encourage all volunteers under the age of 15 to be accompanied by an adult. If you are a volunteer under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please print and bring this Green Tukwila Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
