Description

Join the Green Snoqualmie Partnership at the inaugural volunteering event at Jeanne Hansen Park on Snoqualmie Ridge. This beautiful park has sweeping views of Mt. Rainier and the Snoqualmie River Valley, and features lovely forested areas for the community to enjoy. Unfortunately, many of the trees in the park’s natural areas are reaching the end of their lives, and there are few young trees growing to replace them. Join your friends and neighbors in helping to ensure that this forest is set to sustain into the future. Volunteers will be working to remove invasive weeds that smother young trees and clearing space for winter replanting.

Please click the "respond" button and we will follow up with you.

What to bring: Come dressed to work outside (rain or shine) with sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Snacks, tools, and work gloves provided.

Please Note: Car break-ins have occurred at several of our restoration sites. Try not to leave anything valuable visible in your vehicle.

If you are under 18 and will NOT be accompanied by supervising adult/parent/guardian you will need to bring the youth waiver release form signed by your parent/guardian to the event.

Green Snoqualmie Partnership Vision: A city with healthy forests that provide high value habitat for wildlife and access for residents and visitors to experience nature, supported by an aware and engaged community that is working together to restore and care for these lands.
