Description

Volunteer for Green Kirkland Day to help with the restoration of Crestwoods Park. Rescue newly planted seedlings from re-sprouting blackberry and other invasive species. Work will include digging and grubbing roots, spreading mulch and cutting away overgrowth. Tree, shrubs and ground cover planting will also take place. No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!

What to Bring Please dress for the weather (layers are encouraged and rain gear is a must most times of year!), wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks to munch on. Tools, globves, and training will be provided.

Getting there: use 1818 6th St to navigate to park. Meet at the wooden kiosk that marks the northern entrance to the natural areas. From the parking area, if you look at the ball fields walk left.

Parking is available in the parking lot and along the street.

Youth Volunteering Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteer under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
