Description

Alleycat Acres reconnects people, place, and produce with a network of neighborhood run urban farms. In partnership with Monica's Village Place and Catholic Community Services, we operate this farm in a large planting strip near 23rd Ave and Jackson in Seattle's Central District. Produce from the farm is distributed directly to neighborhood volunteers, Monica's Village residents, Mary's Place food bank, the YWCA food bank, and Yesler Tiny House Village.

We need your help to get the farm ready for the growing season! On this day, we may be:

  • repairing and extending irrigation systems
  • cutting and turning in cover crop
  • planting early season crops
  • removing weeds
  • creating compost
  • mulching pathways

We will provide all the tools and gloves, but ask that you dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.

We will have water and light refreshments available.

It is a short walk across the street to access a public restroom.
