Description

Come unwind (Morning Glory) with Dirt Corps and Trees for Seattle! Help us protect the native Camus and Oak prairie at our first tree care skill share and volunteer work party at Martha Washington Park.

We will learn about Morning Glory and other harmful weeds, their history, how they relate to the ecosystem, and how best to remove them to allow our trees and native plants to thrive. We’ll then practice these skills while caring for the natural beauty of this cherished park and keeping its trees healthy and happy.

We look forward to seeing you there! All ages and skill levels are welcome! Please wear clothing that can get dirty, including long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. We’ll be working rain or shine, so everyone is encouraged to dress for the weather and wear layers if you can. We’ll provide the tools, gloves, snacks, hot drinks, and water.
