Join us for a volunteer work party to celebrate Duwamish Alive at Həʔapus Village Park and Shoreline Habitat! Learn about this important archaeological, cultural, and ecological site that sits on the shores of one of the last remaining original bends of the Duwamish River and then participate in restoration work! As a volunteer you will help with ecological restoration and green stormwater infrastructure tasks in the park.
Lunch will be provided, and restoration work will continue until 2pm. We recommend wearing long pants, long sleeves, and close-toed shoes. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We will bring the gloves, tools, and snacks. All ages and skill levels welcome!
