Description

Become a Seattle Tree Steward in celebration of Earth Month!

Join Trees for Neighborhoods and Dirt Corps for our next tree care skill share and volunteer work party at Meadowbrook Pond! We will learn how to identify local trees and celebrate their many social, ecological, and health benefits. We’ll then remove harmful weeds from around the mature trees at this site so they can continue to thrive and support the well-being of this special wetland ecosystem and their neighbors (all of us!).

All ages and skill levels are welcome! Please wear clothing that can get dirty, including long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. We’ll be working rain or shine, so everyone is encouraged to dress for the weather and wear layers if you can. We’ll provide the tools, gloves, snacks, hot drinks, and water.
