Description

A beautiful area called the Thistle Street Green Space along the Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail needs your help to battle invasive species. Next to a local pea patch garden, Chief Sealth High School, and Longfellow Creek, this piece of green space requires regular maintenance to keep it clear of invasive plants like Himalayan Blackberry, Buttercup, Herb Robert, and many more. Come volunteer with DIRT Corps and learn how to ID both native plants and invasive plants, as well as how to remove all kinds of invasive species so native plants can thrive. Afterwards you can walk the trails and explore this hidden gem in Delridge.
