Volunteer at Paradise Parking Plots Community Garden and support our refugee neighbors! Our 2-acre community garden provides space for refugee, immigrant and Kent resident gardeners to grow cultural foods and reconnect with the soil. Our shared spaces, such as our food forest, rain gardens, pollinator berms, and restoration areas need a lot of love and attention to stay healthy, productive, and beautiful. Volunteers help to ensure this shared site stays maintained and safe for gardeners to continue grow and nature to thrive.
We are looking for work, church, or other community organizations that have availability to bring a group of volunteers out to support with essential gardening and maintenance tasks! We are able to accommodate most events during the week with some limited capacity to schedule Saturday events. If you are interested, please sign up for this volunteer opportunity and we will follow up within 1-2 weeks to gather more details on your availability and interest.
Note: we request a commitment of a minimum of 10-15 volunteers to schedule an event for your organization. Don’t have this many volunteers? Consider joining one of our already scheduled events!
