Volunteer at Paradise Parking Plots Community Garden and support our refugee neighbors! Our 2-acre community garden provides space for refugee, immigrant and Kent resident gardeners to grow cultural foods and reconnect with the soil. Our shared spaces, such as our food forest, rain gardens, pollinator berms, and restoration areas need a lot of love and attention to stay healthy, productive, and beautiful. Volunteers help to ensure this shared site stays maintained and safe for gardeners to continue grow and nature to thrive.
Do you have weekly or bi-weekly availability to help in the garden? Consistent, returning volunteers are essential to the health of our garden and we need you! No prior skills required. We will train and develop you over time so you can work on increasingly more complex tasks like weeding our food forest, controlling pests and diseases, assisting with minor construction projects, managing our mason bees, or whatever else catches your interest and will enhance our community space. If you are interested, please sign up for this volunteer opportunity and we will follow up within 1-2 weeks to gather more details on your availability and interest.
