The Freedom Education Project Puget Sound (FEPPS) is a small nonprofit that offers a college program leading to an Associate of Arts and Science degree inside the Washington Correction Center for Women (WCCW). Our mission is to provide access to a rigorous college education to incarcerated women in Washington and create pathways to higher education after women are released from prison. We envision a world in which people in prison can realize their academic potential through access to meaningful, sustained, high-quality educational opportunities; where a culture of punishment is replaced by a culture of human dignity. We do this with our fantastic staff and the leadership of our Board of Directors. You can learn a bit about us here.
