Seattle Parks and Recreation's annual Big Day of Play is a celebration of our City’s diversity and it encourages neighbors, communities and families to have fun, build relationships and be active together. This year's event takes place on Saturday, August 16th from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Rainier Community Center and Playfield, and at Mt Baker Rowing and Sailing Center. Register for a 3-to-8-hour shift between 9:30am and 7:00pm and spend the rest of your day at play.
Volunteer roles include:
- Overseeing field games like Bumper Balls and soccer
- Help Main Stage performance artists set up and break down equipment
- Hand out life vests at the Mt Baker Rowing & Sailing Center
- Register Fun Run participants

- 9:30am-2:30pm
- 12-3pm
- 2-5pm
- 4-7pm
