Every Monday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at St. Matthews Lutheran Church (1700 Edmonds Ave NE, Renton, WA), we distribute gleaned and donated produce boxes to hundreds of families in over 100 cars, most of whom are Renton residents. Since beginning operations in 2020, we have successfully handed out over 1,600,000 pounds of food. Volunteer to help sort, set up, distribute, and put away the outdoor Free Grocery Store!
1:00pm to 2:00pm - Bread Sorting: light labor, sorting of bread types
2:00pm to 6:00pm - Set-up / Distribution: Moderate to heavy labor / lifting. Tent and table setup. Moving product boxes outdoors. Need one forklift certified person. Lifting boxes and distributing food to patrons
6:00pm to 8:00pm - Distribution / Close: Moderate to Heavy Labor. Finishing distribution to patrons. Tearing down tables and tents. Need one forklift certified person
