Birthday Dreams is looking for volunteer bakers to create birthday cakes for children experiencing homelessness.

As a volunteer cake baker, you’ll bake and decorate cakes in your own kitchen—helping ensure every child we serve feels celebrated on their special day.

Bake when it works for you. There’s no minimum commitment—simply sign up for cakes based on your availability.

What You’ll Do:

Bake and decorate birthday cakes based on a child’s requested theme or interests Sign up for cake opportunities when your schedule allows Help create meaningful birthday moments for children in our community

What We’re Looking For:

Birthday Dreams is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team in a hands-on support role across operations, development, and community events.

This in-office volunteer position works closely with our Executive Director, Development Director, and Community Events Coordinator. It’s a unique opportunity to gain meaningful nonprofit experience while contributing to a mission that brings hope, joy, and a sense of self-worth to children experiencing homelessness.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes initiative, and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with event planning and execution Supporting donor and fundraising initiatives Helping manage and organize community event projects Providing general administrative and project support

What We’re Looking For:

Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to take initiative and work independently Willingness to jump in and help wherever needed Reliable and consistent availability Interest in nonprofit work, events, or fundraising

Time Commitment:
10–20 hours per week

This is an in-office position in Renton. Remote work is not available for this role.
