Family Resource Fair Volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and engaging experience for families attending this special event. The fair is centered on celebrating families and connecting them with essential resources, services, and basic needs that support housing stability and overall well-being.

As a volunteer, you’ll help ensure the event runs smoothly while contributing to a positive and uplifting environment for all participants. This is a hands-on opportunity to directly support families in our community.

Volunteer responsibilities may include:

Assisting with event setup and takedown (tables, chairs, signage, and supplies) Greeting and welcoming families as they arrive Helping guide families throughout the event and answering basic questions Supporting activity stations or resource areas Assisting with the distribution of essential items such as hygiene products, diapers, or food (as available)

As a Donation Drive Host, you’ll help support families in need by rallying your community to collect essential items for our Family Store. This is a flexible, impactful way to make a difference—perfect for individuals, workplaces, faith groups, schools, and community clubs.

Responsibilities:

As a Family Store Assistant, you’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role in helping families access essential items. Instead of in-person shopping, families place requests, and volunteers like you carefully pack customized orders with care and dignity. Your attention to detail helps ensure that families receive exactly what they need.

Responsibilities:

Pick and pack orders for families based on specific item requests (clothing, books, baby items, hygiene products, etc.) Sort and organize incoming donations to restock shelves and bins Check donated items for quality and cleanliness Label and prepare completed orders for distribution Help maintain a clean, organized, and respectful workspace

Time Commitment:

Shifts typically 2–3 hours Weekday availability between 10am-4pm Flexible scheduling available Willingness to volunteer across several months, promoting continuity, relationship-building, and reliable support for Wellspring's mission.

 

Skills Needed:

Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized Able to follow packing instructions and handle donated items with care Comfortable working independently or as part of a small team Ability to stand, walk, or lift light items as needed (accommodations available)[KL1]  No prior experience necessary, just a willingness to help!

Support Provided:

On-site training during your first shift Guidance from staff and experienced volunteers All materials and packing tools provided
