Description

The 39-acre Red Barn Ranch site in Auburn is home to the Seattle Tilth Farm Works program, which provides farm business training and support to aspiring farmers in South King County. The site features greenhouses, production-scale row crops, nature trail, a picnic area and fire pit, large farm equipment, tractors, and stunning views of Mt Rainier.

For Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, we'll be working with volunteers on brush clearing the fence line of a 10-acre vegetable production field on the Certified Organic education farm in Auburn. Staples holding wire will also be replaced with plastic insulators for future electrification to mitigate deer and elk pressure. Educational farm tour included in the day!
