Description

Volunteers will work on removing invasive species, mostly ivy and, replace them with Pacific Northwest Natives.

The GSP ( http://greenseattle.org/ ) is a City of Seattle initiative to restore green belts and natural areas to a more natural state, creating habitat for insects, birds and forest animals and a place for people to enjoy and experience nature. Key partners are the City Parks Department and Forterra, a conservation agency. We encourage volunteers to learn to ID native plants and learn more about the Green Seattle Partnerships reforestation effort, Pacific Northwest vegetation, forest succession and ecology.
