Who We Are

We are a group of trained facilitators in the Alternatives to Violence Project curricula, which has a 45 year history doing work in over 60 countries. As one person said it, "AVP puts the humanity back into human beings." As such it heals trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and more impacting life in many ways - from drug and gang intervention, to juvenile diversion

What We Do

We deliver intensive experiential workshops focusing on compassion, empathy, trauma recovery and nonviolence. Our work is used in numerous settings to reduce hatred and violence, to heal trauma, and to train people to deal positively with stress and conflict. Currently we run two prison programs in Monroe, and two veterans programs for incarcerated veterans with PTSD in Pierce and King County Jails. We also partner with the World Affairs Council and the State Department on conflict, violent extremism and interfaith cooperation. We also do work in schools, youth diversion programs and drug recovery centers.
