Who We Are

The Muslim Community Resource Center (MCRC) is the social services and humanitarian arm of the Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS-MCRC). We are led and managed by a group of volunteers passionate about helping the less fortunate in our community. We partner with like minded faith based organizations (Muslim & non-Muslim), city and local services, assistance providers, and more to address the overall needs of our wider community. The Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS) is the largest Islamic Center in the state of Washington, serving over 5,500 families in the Puget Sound area, but providing benefit for the wider community through service, advocacy, and unity.

What We Do

For over a decade, we have provided important social services to those in need in a culturally-sensitive way. Our services include providing food assistance, rental and utility help, gas cards, free medical clinics, free legal clinics, services for senior citizens, shelter for single women, funeral services, and more. In response to COVID-19, MAPS-MCRC is increasing its services with a larger investment by MAPS to help the vulnerable during this crisis, including those who have lost their jobs or incomes, those in need of rental or food assistance, those who don't speak English as their first language, and more. We provide our services regardless of faith (or no faith), religion, national/ethnic origin, race, gender, sexuality, documentation status, language, age, etc. Our services are mostly funded by individual donations from Muslim community members, although our support assists all in need (with the majority of funds going to non-Muslims).
