Who We Are
The Renton Innovation Zone Partnership (RIZP) supports families at four Renton School District schools in two racially diverse neighborhoods, Renton Highlands & unincorporated Skyway-West Hill. The schools are Bryn Mawr, Lakeridge, Campbell Hill, and Highlands Elementary. Skyway-West Hill lacks basic community services needed to support families and children. The Sunset/Highlands area has the highest concentration of publicly-owned affordable housing in Renton, along with the lowest incomes.
What We Do
The mission of the RIZP is to lead a relationship-based, data informed collaborative to advance racial equity and create healthy learning opportunities for all children throughout the RIZ neighborhoods. By the 2022-23 school year, at least: 1) 78% of students are measured Kindergarten Ready, 2) 74% of students meet 3rd grade English Language Arts proficiency, 3) 74% of students meet 4th grade Math proficiency.
