Mission: To strengthen communities and improve people's health by delivering quality health care services, breaking down barriers and providing access to all.
HealthPoint is a not-for-profit community-governed network of 11 federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) serving the suburban areas of King County since 1971. HealthPoint’s model of care integrates primary medical care, dental care, behavioral health care, case management, social support services and pharmacy services. In addition to our 11 locations, we co-locate our services in schools, family centers, Head Start programs and community mental health centers. We serve as a health care home for 100,000 people of all ages and the number is growing. We welcome everyone in need of care regardless of ability to pay.
What We Do
HealthPoint provides primary care, behavioral health, dental care and many other health services to people with low incomes, poor health, limited resources and barriers to accessing health care.
Our patient population, in general, has complex social situations and struggles with the effects of living in poverty and other underlying socioeconomic factors that disproportionately affect them. Ninety-one percent of our patients are low-income (less than 200 percent Federal Poverty Level), 70 percent are on Medicaid and 67 percent are racial and ethnic minorities, which is significant given that the county’s overall population of racial and ethnic minorities is 35 percent. More than 60 percent of refugees relocated to King County receive their primary care at HealthPoint.
