Who We Are
Freedom Project works to heal the trauma and dismantle the institution of mass incarceration and its effects on our community. As a community-centered and culturally-responsive organization, we come FROM, are IN, and are directed BY the community we seek to serve. We offer tangible resources where they are needed most - and make space for people to show up as they are and be seen for their humanity. We were established in 2001 and support people across Washington State.
What We Do
We offer tangible resources and community support where they are needed most - and make space for people to show up as they are and be seen for their humanity. We center racial equity and anti-oppression frameworks in everything we do, with culturally-responsive supports inside prisons, in reentry and in our community.
