Who We Are

New Family Traditions is a 501c3 nonprofit organization in Seattle operating since 2008. We support women in recovery by providing essential treatment services and childcare to break the generational cycle of addiction and create new, positive family traditions.

What We Do

New Family Traditions provides outpatient substance use treatment services to low-income women and their families. We are proud to be a leader in effective gender-based treatment in King County with an excellent reputation in the community to provide specialized care for Pregnant and Parenting Women. New Traditions is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for women of different backgrounds and mainly serves Medicaid-eligible adult women.


Who We Serve:

- 90% of women are head of household with children under 17 years old

- 80% report co-occurring mental health issues and other medical complications

- 75% report a history of childhood trauma

- 70% are survivors of domestic violence, and

- 60% identify with BIPOC communities as their ethnic/cultural background
