Who We Are

I.A.M.U is a bipoc woman led grassroot 501(c)3, we were founded in 2024. Independent Achievements for Minority Youth (I.A.M.U) envisions a world where young people rise beyond trauma and systemic barriers to become leaders who heal, uplift, and transform their communities. We strive to break cycles of violence and inequity by empowering youth to turn pain into purpose and hope into lasting change.

What We Do

I.A.M.U is dedicated to empowering youth and young adults aged 8-24, both males-and females in King, Pierce & Thurston Counties, who have been affected by gangs, drugs, the judicial system, catastrophic life events, prostitution, abuse, sex trafficking, and educational setbacks.
