Who We Are

Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those that need us most, to realize their full potential as responsible, productive, and caring citizens. Wallingford Boys & Girls Club has been around for more than 60 years. The Club was envisioned by a group of local businessmen who recognized the need for a safe place for young children to go afterschool, to keep them from being home alone and getting into trouble. From that basic idea, the Club has grown to be not only that place of refuge, but also a please where learning and creativity flourish. The Club, originally part of The Boys Clubs of America, began admitting girls in the 1970s. In 2007, the main club relocated back to its original site on 45th and Stone Way in Wallingford, where it currently serves more than 200 youth daily.

What We Do

Wallingford Boys & Girls Club provides an after school and summer Drop-in program to over 600 kids and teens each year. We offer mentoring, recreational athletics, health & life skills programs, homework assistance, and service clubs. We provide a positive, safe and fun learning environment for all children.
