CCS: Pregnancy & Parenting Support

Catholic Community Services of Western Washington serves as the official social service agency outreach of the Catholic Church in Western Washington and has more than 90-year history of providing services to those in need. Our Mission....Rooted in Catholic social teaching; Catholic Community Services (CCS) and Catholic Housing Services (CHS) are outreaches of the Catholic Church in Western Washington, under the leadership of the Archbishop of Seattle and the Boards of Trustees. CCS and CHS answer the call to loving and compassionate service by helping people help themselves, to help them help each other through professional and volunteer services, and to change the systems which cause human suffering. Our service philosophy calls for individualized, tailored care, because every person comes to us with a different background and a different need. We build on people?s strengths, rather than on problems or failures, and we do that best by integrating all the services available in the community in which they live. The program is one of the foundational services of Catholic Community Services. The agency now has a 92 year legacy of providing support services to women experiencing crisis as a result of pregnancy and poverty. Over the years, program focus has changed to reflect changing times and the changing needs of individuals and families.

Pregnancy & Parenting Support (PrePS), is an outreach program for pregnant women or caregivers with children 0-5 years of age. Comprehensive services are provided that assist with the many difficulties they face during their pregnancy and beyond. The services we provide include counseling, adoption planning, childbirth preparation, parenting and life skills education, parent mentoring, material support, and emergency assistance. Through case management, PrePS provides support services that address the specific needs of clients or families.
