Who We Are
Multi-Service Center (MSC) is a Community Action Agency committed to its mission of helping people achieve greater independence and discover the power of their choices. MSC was formed in 1971 by a concerned grass-root group of local citizens in Federal Way. It has grown from a tiny volunteer group to an agency that serves tens of thousands of people each year, employs a staff of 65 and a volunteer force of over 400.
What We Do
Through Multi-Service Center, individuals and families throughout South King County receive the support and resources they need to build pathways out of poverty. The agency offers multiple services, such as job skills training and internships; educational programs in basic literacy, GED and ESL; shelter, transitional, and low-income housing;energy bill assistance; food bank and clothing bank; and financial management and budgeting classes. In addition, the agency operates the state-wide Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, providing trained and certified advocates for the elderly and disabled living in long-term care facilities across Washington State. MSC serves people living in 19 cities throughout South King County.
