Who We Are

Auburn Valley Humane Society's (AVHS) mission: The Auburn Valley Humane Society is dedicated to providing shelter, quality care and love for all the lost, mistreated and abandoned animals in Auburn. AVHS utilizes all available resources to ensure each animal is placed into a loving and forever home and promotes responsible pet ownership through education and outreach. AVHS is a local, independent 501(c)3 non-profit, which relies on pet licensing fees and donations to fund the shelter and educational programs.

AVHS primarily supports the Auburn community but that doesn't mean we will turn a cold shoulder to our neighboring colleagues. We are all in this together, caring for pets in need. It is AVHS's goal to continue to foster a network of regional communication and collaboration among neighboring shelters, rescue groups and foster homes. We will all work together in the best interest of the pet.
