Who We Are

PorchLight is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing homelessness in East King County. Established in 1993, PorchLight fosters dignity, acceptance, and a pathway to stability specifically to unaccompanied men experiencing homelessness.

We aim to reduce homelessness by providing shelter, housing, pathways to housing when ours is at capacity, behavioral health and supportive services, and a sense of community. PorchLight operates various programs designed to meet people where they are and help them transition to independent living.

What We Do

Our continuum of care ranges from emergency shelter to permanent housing solutions, ensuring that individuals at all stages of homelessness can access the help they need. Our Emergency Shelter/Day Center provides safe and temporary accommodations for 100 shelter guests at any time that includes a warm place to sleep, and access to 3 meals a day, showers, laundry facilities, and support from 24-hour shelter, case management, and behavioral health staff. Our permanent supportive housing supplies long-term solutions with support for those who need assistance maintaining housing stability. Supportive services, including case management, behavioral health support, and employment coaching for those who have the capacity or develop the capacity to work or return to work.

Through integrated services like case management, behavioral health support, employment coaching, and housing navigation, PorchLight addresses the underlying factors contributing to homelessness. Our dedicated team and strong community partnerships empower individuals to reclaim their lives and achieve lasting self-sufficiency.
