Who We Are

At some time in our lives, we all will face the terminal illness of a family member or dear friend. Having people to turn to for help in making each day, even the last one, worth living is invaluable. That is what EvergreenHealth Hospice is all about. EvergreenHealth Hospice serves patients and their families throughout King and Snohomish Counties.

What We Do

EvergreenHealth Hospice volunteers provide compassionate, caring support to help families and patients through the difficult times associated with the end of life. We offer a free, comprehensive training to equip you to do this important work as well as offer ongoing educational events. You will work one-on-one with patients and/or families. Volunteer opportunities include companionship, life review, respite for the primary caregiver, compassionate touch (by licensed practitioners), haircut (by licened practitioners) running errands or light household help. Volunteers choose patients in their own communities.

Volunteers have flexibility in scheduling and spend no more than 4 hours per week with a patient.  Unless you are provding respite, visits are no more than 2 hours.
