Assistance League® of the Eastside

Assistance League^® of the Eastside strives to serve the immediate, unmet needs of children and adults challenged by hardship or violence, strengthening our community while fostering dignity, confidence, and hope.

Assistance League of the Eastside functions as an autonomous, nonpolitical, nonsectarian, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.

Assistance League® of the Eastside is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of local families affected by Poverty, Homelessness, and survivors of Assault through our 4 philanthropic programs:

• Operation School Bell®
• provides local students in need, as identified by their school personnel, with the opportunity to shop for new school clothing, shoes, books, school supplies, groceries & medicines at local Fred Meyer stores.




• Assault Survivor Kit®
• aims to restore dignity to survivors of assault by providing essential personal care items and new clothing to replace items retained by law enforcement as evidence
  • volunteers assemble and deliver kits to Washington state hospitals where they are distributed by hospital nurses to assault survivors.
• Starting Over Support
• partners with local agencies to provide basic household items to individuals and families fleeing domestic violence, enabling them to begin new lives in safe, violence-free housing
• Help4Homeless
• partners with local agencies to provide daily living items and support to women & families transitioning from homelessness to independence

Women Inspired Network
provides meals, clothing and personal care items to local shelters and specifically tailors their outreach activities so that chapter  members with busy work schedules can participate in our events.
