Humane Society - Western Region

Who We Are

We are an animal rescue organization. We take in mainly special needs and older animals. We also run an Animal Food Bank for the low income on food stamps and provide upper end medical care and spay/neuters for the low-income, as funds allow. (See stories from the shelter on the left hand side of our webpage at www.dogscats.org) We also try to help people keep their animals by helping with various problems that they may have. We opened in 1998. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and United Way agency. Our dog shelter is a 7 acre farm in Arlington, WA. We are currently trying to develop 18 acres that we were left in a will. This would be mainly for feral cats and post surgery cats/dogs.

What We Do

Our main office and feral cat shelter is in Stanwood and our dog shelter is in Arlington. We also feed about 60 feral cats in north Seattle and a few in Issaquah. We are currently fund-raising to build a new animal shelter on 18 acres of land in Stanwood, WA for feral cats and post-surgery dogs/cats.
