John Muir Elementary is a Title 1 elementary school in South Seattle. We serve an incredibly diverse student body with over 400 students, representing nearly 20 nationalities and speaking more than 12 languages. More than 70% of our school population qualifies for free and reduced lunches. We appreciate and celebrate the diverse perspectives and gifts of our entire school community.
The John Muir PTA's mission is to be a strong voice for the families, students, and community of John Muir Elementary School. As part of our commitment to equity and social justice, we provide free school supplies for all students, healthy snacks, free take-home books for all students, translation and interpretation, and support a number of other programs that benefit our students and wider community.
