Who We Are
We are a small nonprofit that started in 2013. Our goal is provide mentors to all middle school students in the Seattle area in the near future. Every student can benefit from additional support, and we want to be that support.
What We Do
Our mission is to create lasting relationships between mentor and student, in which the student feels empowered to take responsibility for their own life. We do this by pairing an adult mentor with a middle school student, who then meet three times a month. Twice they engage in one-on-one activities of their choosing to deepen their relationship. Once a month, everyone attends a workshop where students and mentors engage in discussions surrounding topics that affect middle school students. At these workshops, the goal is to give students the skills they need to overcome the obstacles they face during their middle school years. After a year of our program, students increase their self esteem and self confidence, become more responsible and have another layer of support through their mentor.
