Who We Are
Invent Washington is a non-profit education organization that promotes "invention education" for children ages 5-14. Its goal is for every student to have the experience of being an inventor at least once between kindergarten and 8th grade.
What We Do
Invent Washington trains teachers in how to lead students through the process of invention, from problem identification to prototype, and then to patent application and how to pitch to potential investors. Invent Washington also hosts an annual competition for student inventors called the Washington Invention Convention. It has been doing this regionally in Spokane since 2013. Starting in spring 2018 it will also host an Invention Convention in Western Washington.
