Emergency Feeding Program

  • Hunger & Basic Needs

Who We Are

The Emergency Feeding Program exists to serve a basic need—hunger. Our job is to make sure that no one in King County has to go hungry for even one night. Hunger is everywhere in our community, from the suburbs on the Eastside to South King County to the streets of Downtown Seattle. It affects everyone: working families, the elderly, young adults—even children. We provide an emergency response to hunger that helps people get through the night.

What We Do

We provide an emergency response to hunger that helps people get through the night. We pack 15 varieties of nutritionally balanced, culturally appropriate non-perishable food packs that we make available to people in our community who are experiencing hunger. We work with over 180 distribution partners—including schools, public health clinics and churches—to meet our clients wherever they are and to guide them to the long-term resources they need to get back on their feet. We do not turn anyone away.
