We’re so excited to be partnering local artist and MIVAL President, Anne Hritzay to bring you a special workshop and ecological restoration event. Come join us as we remove some non-native plants (like English ivy, blackberry, and creeping buttercup) from Luther Burbank Park, followed by a workshop and demonstration on making prints from these plants. We will have stations featuring solar printing, pigment transferring, along with demonstration materials on how to make botanical dyes.
When: Saturday, August 13th 10-12 restoration and 12-2 workshop
Where: Luther Burbank Park, Parks Admin Building
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring water and a lunch. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
