About the Event
Join us for a jam-packed evening of fun, celebrating kids of all ages! The Washington West African Center is hosting an End-of-Year Party filled with laughter, friendship, and endless excitement. This afternoon will be filled with fun games, exciting activities, and smiles for both kids and parents.
Event Activities Include:

- Xbox Competition
- Dance Competition
- Hands-on Games
- Face Painting
- Music
- Delicious Food
- Hot Cocoa
- Halal Smoking Cocktail Bar
- And much more!
Participants in competitions will have a chance to win up to $200!
Volunteer Roles Needed
We're seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a success! Opportunities include:
- Activity Coordinators - Help facilitate games and competitions
- Face Painting Assistants - Support our face painting station
- Registration & Check-in - Welcome families and manage registration
- Food Service Helpers - Assist with food and beverage distribution
- Setup & Cleanup Crew - Help prepare before and clean up after the event
- General Support - Float between stations and assist where needed
Volunteer Requirements
- Enthusiasm for working with children and families
- Ability to commit to a 4-hour shift (options for shorter shifts available)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- A background check may be required

Time Commitment
Setup: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
Event: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Cleanup: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Volunteers can choose to help with setup, the main event, cleanup, or all three!
