Description

Providence Elder Place PACE is a unique and compassionate program that helps older adults stay healthy, independent, and connected to their communities for as long as they choose. As part of our mission, we’re urgently seeking a Haitian Creole-speaking volunteer to bring joy and companionship to one of our participants.

 Being a Volunteer Friend

This is a special opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with a Haitian Creole-speaking elder. You’ll connect through phone calls and in-person visits, sharing stories, songs, photos, whatever brings you both joy. Your presence can make a lasting impact.

  • Speaks Haitian Creole comfortably (beyond beginner level)
  • Enjoys engaging conversations
  • Has good listening skills
  • Is dependable, patient, and compassionate
  • Has experience with older adults (a plus, but not required)

As a volunteer, you’ll become part of the Elder Place PACE team, which provides integrated health and social services to older adults.

 Who Can Volunteer?

  • Adults 18+ can volunteer independently
  • Youth under 18 may volunteer with a parent or guardian
  • Flexible scheduling—volunteer when it works best for you!
