Bi-Weekly In-Person Visits
Do you have a kind heart and a few hours to spare? We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to provide companionship to an elderly male resident in Seattle who is feeling lonely.
About the Participant:
- Age: Elderly male
- Background: Former journeyman electrical lineman who later became a foreman. He enjoys reading the Bible and praying daily.
- Current Situation: Recently experienced depression and boredom; enjoys getting outdoors in the sunshine, which improves his mood.
- Interests: Loves the SeaHawks and music, enjoys sitting outside on the deck, and participates in Adult Day Health (ADH) programs weekly.
- Needs: A kind and patient volunteer for bi-weekly visits to offer companionship, chat, and perhaps spend time outdoors.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Be a caring and friendly presence.
- Comfortable engaging in light conversation.
- Enjoy spending time outdoors, as the participant enjoys sitting in the sun.
- Ability to commit to bi-weekly visits.
