Morning Hours (before lunch)
Are you someone who believes in the power of connection and kindness? Do you enjoy meaningful conversations, music, sports, or simply being present for someone who needs a friend? We’re looking for compassionate volunteers to brighten the mornings of a very pleasant man living with ALS.
About Him:
A/Ox4 is a gentle soul who enjoys watching TV, listening to rock 'n' roll from the 60s and 70s, chatting with his housemates, and reminiscing about motorcycles and sports. As his condition progresses, he’s finding it harder to speak loudly and is feeling increasingly isolated. He attends an Adult Day Health center but has no other social outlets. Your presence could make a world of difference.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage in light conversation and reminiscence
- Play card games or toss a ball around
- Watch sports or listen to music together
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Help foster connection between him and his housemate
Who We’re Looking For:
- Kind, patient, and empathetic individuals
- Reliable and flexible volunteers
- Age 18+
Volunteer Requirements:
To ensure a safe and supportive environment, volunteers must complete:
- A Volunteer Application
- Background Screening
- Medical Screening (in-person)
This is a beautiful opportunity to make a real impact in someone’s life—just by showing up and being present. If you have a heart for service and a few morning hours to spare, we’d love to hear from you.
