Participant Profile:
- Comfort Care: Some days more alert, other days resting.
- Communication Aid: Uses a pocket talker (headphones and mini radio with microphone) to converse.
About the Participant:
- A former baseball player and swimmer.
- Has a rich history of working in the military on the docks and as a janitor.
- Enjoys reminiscing about the past, especially about his beloved pets (cats and dogs) and his time spent watching westerns.
- Loves Channel 7 on TV.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage in gentle conversation and share life experiences.
- Use sensory items (fuzzy textures, sound-making objects) to stimulate interaction.
- Reminisce about past experiences to brighten his days.
