Each year, 9/11 Day brings together tens of thousands of volunteers across the country to transform the anniversary of September 11 into a powerful force for good. It’s an opportunity to honor those we lost, and the compassion and unity shown in the aftermath, by serving others in need.
This year, we’re expanding our impact. In 24 cities nationwide, volunteers will come together to pack 9 million+ meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity. We invite your organization to take part in this inspiring day of service.
We’re currently seeking Support Staff Volunteers to help ensure the success of the event. These roles are ideal for teams and community groups looking to make a meaningful difference:
- Table Captains – Lead and energize teams on the meal-packing lines
- Heavy Lifters / Runners – Keep supplies moving and stations stocked
- Guest Services – Greet and check in volunteers
- Set-Up & Break-Down Crew – Assist with preparing and closing the event space
Time Commitment:
- A 1-hour Zoom training (scheduled about a week before the event)
- Approximately 4 hours on event day
Bonus for Groups: Organizations that register 10+ volunteers will be recognized as official 9/11 Day partners, a meaningful way to highlight your organization’s commitment to service and community impact. There’s no cost to participate or be recognized, just bring your willingness to serve!
