Fallin' for Fungi Restoration Work Party at Westcrest Park

Join Dirt Corps this September as we're Fallin' for Fungi and caring for our section of the West Duwamish Greenbelt. We'll be learning a bit about the fungi in our forest and how they interact with their ecosystem and its health. We'll also be removing non-native weeds (looking at you blackberry!) from our restoration area and applying mulch to bare ground and around plantings to help the native plants there grow and thrive and to make way for new native plantings in the fall, as well as creating "Cones of Light" around young trees deeper in the woods to assist in their continued growth.
