Description

Come unwind (Morning Glory) with Trees for Neighborhoods and Dirt Corps! Help us protect the native Camas and Oak prairie at our second tree care skill share and volunteer work party of the year at Martha Washington Park.

We will learn how to decide the best species and spots for adding new trees to your yard or street as we near our free tree giveaway and local planting season. We’ll then remove harmful weeds from and apply mulch to the young and mature trees at this site to allow them to continue to thrive. Join us to care for the natural beauty of this cherished park and keep its trees healthy and happy. We look forward to seeing you there!

All ages and skill levels are welcome! Please wear clothing that can get dirty, including long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. We’ll be working rain or shine, so everyone is encouraged to dress for the weather and wear layers if you can. We’ll provide the tools, gloves, snacks, hot drinks, and water.
