Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
Alternate Delivery Driver: A volunteer is needed to deliver meals Thursday mornings, as needed. Volunteers arrive at the center in Pacific to pick up meals at 9:00AM, and are typically done with their route in an hour and a half. This is an on-going volunteer commitment and mileage is reimbursable while making deliveries.
Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication skills, reliability, and good cheer.
Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, WA State driver's license and insurance, and be age 18 or more.
